Introduction to the productive process
Amanite is an acrylic-based polymer.
In the first phase of production, the liquid is placed in reactors, where some additives and catalysts are added, which, together with temperature, are part of the polymerization reaction.
In these reactors, an initial phase of pre-polymerization occurs: by raising the temperature within the reactors, the catalysts activate and allow the individual monomer molecules to aggregate. The liquid then transforms into a substance with greater consistency, similar to honey.
At this point, the polymerization process is halted to allow the addition of other necessary additives and colorants for daily production. In the second phase, the prepolymer is poured into custom molds, in terms of size and thickness, and production cages are created, which are placed in water baths at different temperatures. Here, the true polymerization phase occurs, in which the individual monomer particles aggregate to create the polymer, or the finished sheet. The hardening time depends on the thickness that needs to be produced.

Recyclable
Amanite waste can be recycled through sublimation, which transforms it from solid to gas. Then, through condensation, it becomes an impure liquid. Finally, distillation purifies the material, resulting in a new monomer that can be polymerized again.

The characteristics of the product
It boasts innovative technical properties that facilitate finishing processes while maintaining the possibility of using common equipment such as lasers, pantographs, lathes, and milling machines. The polymethylmethacrylate obtained through casting can also undergo numerous types of processing, many of which leverage its characteristic as a thermoplastic material. By heating the material above 90°C, it can then be molded, bent, and vacuum-thermoformed.
The material produced is completely non-toxic, making it suitable for food-related applications, and it is fully recyclable.
Additionally, all processing waste, resulting from cutting, shaping, and finishing the sheets, along with any defects or production waste, can be recovered and remelted to obtain new raw material.
